Welcome to the Worksite Wellness Strategies Blog!

As such, the information provided about this organization, it’s events, and services is entirely fictional.

Eating Out? Eat Healthy!

Many of us recognize the importance of eating healthy, and one of the easiest ways to do this is to make your own meals so you can determine what ingredients you use and how much. Unfortunately, making our own meals can often be difficult when you work long hours at the office. But what to do when you're exhausted after a long day at work and making dinner is just not an option? We've provided a link that can help you eat healthy, even when you're eating out!

This article provided by CBS local news provides a list and description of the best healthy restaurants in the Twin Cities Area. We encourage you to check out this list for ideas on where to eat out and still eat healthy.

Bike to Work!

Looking for a great way to get some exercise? Consider biking to work! Not only does it provide an opportunity to fit exercise into your daily work routine, it’s also cost-effective and eco-friendly!

This past June, an organization called Nice Ride Minnesota opened 65 bike rental locations throughout the metro area. This bike rental system requires a subscription ($60/year or $50/year for students) and once you have subscribed you can rent a bike any time day or night. If you return the bike to another bike station within 30 minutes, you incur no additional charge. For trips longer than that (or if you somehow forget to return your bike) additional charges apply.
